"Today in most states, real estate agents and other independent contractors are forced to look for health insurance on the individual market. This is a market segment where, for the most part, you basically take or leave whatever coverage is offered. There is no negotiating. There is no leverage...Finding a solution to the health insurance access problems of the self-employed and small businesses is a priority issue for the small business community and the National Association of REALTORS^®."
