NAR is currently in discussion with the Securities Exchange Commission on how to define a role for real estate professionals in the brokerage of securitized tenant-in-common interests which would allow for compensation for real estate services. NAR believes it is in the consumer's best interest to work with a real estate professional in identifying any real estate investment opportunity, including a securitized TIC interest.
