Respa Reform

NAR continues to advocate for a market-based approach to Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act reform that encourages fair competition, protects consumer choice and provides "transparency" or full disclosure of costs and services in the mortgage transaction. Despite stalled efforts by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to develop regulations that implement RESPA reform, NAR continues to work with HUD to communicate the interests of REALTORS® and consumers.
