What is the Legacy Fund? The Gary Mammel Legacy Fund is an endowment fund set up for donations from individual REALTORS® and those in the real estate industry who wish to support safe, decent and affordable housing for all in Colorado. Traditionally, CARHOF has generated revenue from homebuyer's earnest money, which a REALTOR® deposits into an interest-bearing escrow account. The interest is collected by CARHOF and donated to nonprofit and public agencies that provide a variety of housing services for moderate to low-income families and individuals. The Gary Mammel Legacy Fund is an opportunity to invest in helping thousands in Colorado with their housing needs and keep a meaningful Foundation alive through the ups and downs of the housing market. How is the money used? Interest income from investments on the principal amount in the endowment will be distributed as grants in a manner consistent with CARHOF's mission. How can you get involved? |
